The programmed completion date for the project is now Friday 25th July, with traffic management scheduled for removal from the A96 by 10th July.
As we have regularly emphasised, the work to restore the integrity of Union Bridge is extremely complex and challenging.
There was some slippage on our original programme due to delays in accessing the site following SGN carrying out emergency repairs to a gas main, and also additional checks being required to the contractor’s temporary works design which emerged following the commencement of repair works.
We appreciate the frustration that such repair works can cause and want to thank road users and the local community for their patience.
