Help your local library

According to census details held by Moray Council, Cullen has a population of 1239. When deciding to reduce Cullen Library’s hours, one of the mitigating factors (according to the council) was membership of the library – recorded as being 298.

In order to prevent any further reductions in library hours, it would be great if we could significantly raise library membership numbers. If you’re not already a member, it would be hugely appreciated by all of you could take the time to join

All you have to do is visit the library in the Community Centre on Seafield Road with proof of address to register for free membership, allowing easy access to books, audio books, computers, e-books and digital audiobooks books through the Spydus app (https://discovercullen.com/category/services/) and Libby app.

Additionally, the library offers children’s sections, book chats, LEGO sessions , kids’ crochet & knitting sessions, story time, Book Bugs, chess club, badge club for Brownies & Rainbows and a writing group! What more could you ask for free?

Parents can sign up their children = easy.

The library would also hugely appreciate it if anyone had time/were willing to volunteer on Saturday mornings.

So, in short, if you have time: please help out your community.
