2025 is the year of the elections for the next sittings of Community Councils.
The elections will be held on the 2nd October 2025 across Moray and including Cullen and Deskford.
As the logo for the Joint Community Councils says its all about being at the heart of your community.
Community Council’s a re made up of local residents within their catchment area, with an interest in what is happening within the community and a wish to improve life for residents within the area. The community council is a bridge to Moray Council where we can put the views of the community to the local authority on their proposals and policy initiatives.
If you ae=re doubtful if they are listening, well the communities across Moray acted and Moray Council listened and seven libraries were saved, including Cullen.
There is currently a sub-group of the JCC [Joint Community Councils for Moray] looking at how to promote the work of the community councils.
