Resilience Planning

The community council is responsible for the development and implementation of a Resilience Place Plan.

What is Resilience Planning?

Resilience planning is a process that communities can undertake to identify potential hazards and threats, and then establish adaptation, mitigation, and recovery plans. The goal is to reduce likely impacts and ensure that key infrastructure systems continue operating, or quickly begin providing services again. There are different levels of residence.

  • Community Resilience
  • Household Resilience
  • Personal Resilience

Moray Council has instigated a programme of building community resilience. This links to the Ready Scotland initiative, especially around the theme of Resilient Communities..
