CDCC successful in getting new Bike Infrastructure
Following the engagement with residents on the potential location of Bike parking facilities. Moray Council have announced that Cullen has been successful in being awarded funding to proceed with the installation.
The bike furniture will be located at Cullen Library.
In a statement to CDCC Janet MacDonald, Sustainable Travel Officer for Moray Council reported:
‘Following on from a request from the Cullen and Deskford Community Council back in December 2024 for cycle parking and repair infrastructure in Cullen as part of our 2025/26 planning, we are delighted to confirm that our funding bid to HITRANS was successful, and we’ve been awarded the full amount we applied for. That means all the requests we received will be included in this year’s programme. One of which was for Sheffield stands at Cullen library.
We’ll be kicking off the procurement process soon, with installation expected to start in early 2026. We’ll keep you posted with any updates or questions we may have as things move forward.‘
A positive outcome for the Community Council and Residents of Cullen and Deskford.
