We are looking for some help and assistance please.
The Council’s Licensing Committee (as Licensing Authority for Moray) are encouraging feedback to the public consultation (running Friday 8 May 2026 to Friday 24 July 2026) regarding the maximum taxi fares and charges in Moray.
The Committee would like to hear views on the proposed increase to the distance fare during this fare review.
Specifically, the attached proposal is an increase of 4p for the first mile and an increase of 2p for every additional 1/10th of a mile thereof.
Would you be able to reach out to as many community groups in Moray as possible to let them know about the formal consultation and that all views would be most welcome!!

Or returned by post to: Head of Governance, Moray Council, Council Officers, High Street, Elgin, IV30 1BX.
All views received during the formal consultation will be considered by the Licensing Committee on Wednesday 2 September 2026.

I have to report back to Committee about all steps taken in trying to get the message out as widely as possible.
